While completing his studies at the Ontario College of Art and Design, Nicolas began working at YTV, Canada’s #1 kids network. As Art Director, he was responsible for creating the visual identity of the network across all media, crafting the look and feel for what was to become one of Canada’s top brands.
This work led to more than thirty international broadcast design awards. Transitioning into a Creative Director position for several other Corus networks including Movie Central (film channel), Scream (horror network) and Edge TV (alternative rock), Nicolas continued creating brands that would stand out in the Canadian television marketplace.
Nicolas moved on to co-create Monkbot studio, one of Canada’s earliest adopters of online collaboration, connecting designers and digital artists from Canada, the US and the UK. The result was a forward thinking collective combining a variety of international talent to create animated spots such as music videos and concert visuals. This included work for Junkie XL, Hyundai and Cartoon Network UK.
