SANDRA CARYL
Sandra Colette Caryl is an award-winning writer and producer with a strong career in International Brand Development for the Entertainment Industries. Her clients and campaigns include: Tony The Tiger international for Kellogg’s, Trix Yogurt (US), Disneytoon Studios for Tinkerbell The Movie (design, script, creative direction and production partner with Disney) and Winnie The Pooh Halloween (production and creative direction partner with Disney), Corus Entertainment (Treehouse Television, YTV), The Itsy Bitsy Entertainment Company (Tellutubies and Mini’s Treehouse), Nelvana, TFO, Teletoon TV, Cartoon Network, The WB, Global Television, Lionsgate, History Television and Bravo!
Sandra has over twenty years of production and advertising experience. Her range of experience includes commercial and on-air launch campaigns, documentary and long format dramatic TV and Movie production as a producer, creative producer, writer and business affairs consultant.
Sandra has the unique experience of having worked in both animation and live action as a producer and writer. Her producing role has lead her to film festivals around the world, including Sundance, The Toronto Film Festival, Cannes, MIPCOM and MIPCOM Jr., The London Film Festival, Sharing Stories in Scotland, HotDocs, The Ottawa Animation Festival and of course she has been a regular delegate at Toronto’s International Film Festival.
Sandra’s commercial work has garnered awards at The Houston Film Festival, Promax BDA and The New York Film Festival.
Sandra’s films have been programmed with Official Selection at The Toronto International Film Festival, Sundance, Orlando, London, UK, The Houston Film Festival, The Berlin Film Festival, The New York Film Festival, and The Ottawa Animation Festival.
Sandra holds degrees from The University of Toronto, Victoria College in Semiotics and Film Theory (honors BA), York University (MFA) in Film and Women’s Studies and an Associates Degree in Film and Design from The Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD).
